The Center for Constitutional Rights is hiring four Bertha Justice Fellows, for 9/2022-9/2024.

The Bertha Justice Fellowship at the Center for Constitutional Rights is a two-year program for emerging lawyers (0-2 years out of law school) who are interested in gaining both practical experience working on cutting-edge social justice litigation and a theoretical understanding of how legal advocacy can create social change. The Center for Constitutional Rights will host four Bertha Justice Fellows, starting in September 2022. This position requires a two-year commitment from September 2022 to September 2024.

You must have a graduation date between 2020-2022

 

Deadline for submission: October 5, 2021.
Recommendation letters due: October 12, 2021.
Position will begin in mid-September, 2022.

This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of the General Counsel, Ethics Law Division.

This is a permanent appointment in the excepted service and will be filled on a full-time permanent basis. Employees hired under an Excepted Service appointment are required to serve a two (2) year trial period. Upon successful completion of the required trial period, this position will be permanent. 

Location: Washington, D.C.
