WHAT IS THE SWBLSA CONVENTION?
The 10th Annual SWBLSA Regional Convention will take place on January 14–18th, in New Orleans (New Orleans Marriott, 555 Canal St.). The Regional Convention is the premier convening of SWBLSA’s regional legal community. Beyond community, it is where regional policy is set, leaders are elected, and advocates are trained. Students gain direct access to law firms and public-interest leaders, compete in mock trial and moot court, engage in community service, and build networks that translate into post-graduate roles. Attendance ensures our chapter’s voice is represented in decisions that shape the year ahead.
SWBLSA is a recognized nonprofit student organization that aims to promote diversity, advancement and inclusion within the legal profession. It is a regional affiliate of the National Black Law Student Association (NBLSA), one of the nation's largest student organizations of its kind. The Southwest Region comprises Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas representing 20 schools. Please find the Convention Registration Link here.
